Why a New Start?
Congratulations on your life-changing decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. This is great news!
You have taken the first step forward and the members of Friendship Baptist Church would like to help you on your new path.
Below is an introduction to the first steps to take on the path to a growing relationship with Christ. You may heard this before from our pastor or ministry team:
1. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again and is alive for you today.
“That if your confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
2. Ask God to forgive your sins.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
3. Invite Jesus Christ to come into your heart.
“Here I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20
You may say those things in your own words and in your own way.
It is such a blessing to see you make the commitment to invite Jesus Christ into your life. We pray that you will begin to see the difference Jesus can make in your life.
The Bible also talks about the necessity for believers to become a part of a local church to grow into the people that God is calling us to become. We would love for you to become a part of the Friendship family so we can grow and serve together.
